Welcome back to another blog recap Friends and Fromies ! In this weeks installment, we had the honor of hosting the charismatic Courtney Dober, fellow Aussie and all around top bloke in the studio. This episode is a rollercoaster of emotions, insights, and genuine laughs with a FROME first taking place on the podcast couch…
Courtney didn’t hold back, offering a raw and intimate look into the realities of his Bachelorette experience. In a world often dominated by scripted drama that’s driven by ratings, he emphasized the importance of genuine connections, making us question the blurred lines between lust and love. Courtney also clearly stands firm against fake love, as he broke down the challenges of falling in love at lightning speed, giving us a glimpse into the high-stakes game of romance in the realm of reality television.
But the real heartwarming moment came when Courtney shared the story of how his best first date turned into his forever person, and his profound realization that behind every successful person is an even more supportive partner.
Lessons I learnt along the way ? So many. But it was when he doled out advice for those contemplating joining the reality TV realm, highlighting the positive mental health benefits he reaped whilst hanging out with his fellow contestants, and the priceless friendships that can be forged even if love doesn’t blossom along the way that really surprised and resonated with me. Proving that genuine connections can and will extend beyond the search for romance.
Safe to say, this was hilarious to film and most definitely a must watch episode.
